Matting Policy
Under the animal welfare act 2006, it is an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to any animal. This includes matting because, matting and tight knots in the coat can cause irritation, infections, and hot spots.
If the dog is matted more than 50p size knot or more than 5% of the dog’s body is covered in mats, this will require a clip out for the dog’s welfare.
If a clip off is required, the groomer will explain the process and how short the groom will be and will talk through how to maintain the coat going forward.
Clipping a coat short can cause skin and hair problems, particularly in double coats therefore the owner needs to be aware of the below points and sign to agree to the conditions.
The problems that could occur
Loss of hair growth
Coat funk – the coat not growing back in the same way or texture.
Changes in skin colour due to hyper pigmentation
Sunburn
Loss of guard coat.
Clipper burn.
If a clip off is required, there will be an extra charge of £10.00 to the groom, to remove all matting.

ULTRASONIC TEETH CLEANING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Thank you for choosing Emmi-pet teeth cleaning service, our teeth cleaning service is just that, a teeth cleaning service. It is suitable for dogs with mild to moderate tartar build up, it can help heal gum disease, freshen breath and reduce tartar. The operator is not a veterinarian, and teeth cleaning is not a substitute for veterinary treatment when a dog requires veterinary dental work beyond cleaning.
Owners should be aware that:
Removal of even Mild tartar can reveal conditions that could not be seen prior to treatment that may need veterinary attention.
Vanity Furr Grooming offers 3 types of treatment plans. Whilst this method of dental cleaning is highly effective in removing mild tartar, improving gums and mouth health and breath, Posh Paws cannot guarantee the treatments’ effectiveness or suitability for individual dogs due to varying factors such as dogs health, age, diet etc.

Treatment plans
Plan 1 £40 for first session. £20 per session there after
Plan 2 £40 for first session plus Block of 10 sessions for £150(saving£5per session)
Plan 3 Add on to your grooming appointment. £40 for first session and then £15.00 each session. These are maintenance sessions.

If we feel any teeth are loose or at risk of becoming loose when the tartar comes off, we may request you get your pets’ teeth checked at your veterinarian before treatment. It is possible that the tartar build up will be too great and then a veterinary dental may be necessary initially and then follow up ultrasonic maintenance visits with us.
Vanity Furr Grooming cannot be held responsible for any problems occurring from poor dentition before, during or after any ultrasonic treatments.
Ultrasonic treatment is not a veterinary procedure and Vanity Furr Grooming cannot diagnose any problems with your dogs’ mouth.
